American Juggalo
The Insane Clown Posse are an American Hip-Hop duo from Detroit, Michigan, and perform as their alter egos known as Wicked Clowns. If this all sounds bizarre to you, you’re not alone. However, these stranger than fiction performers have a loyal following, called Juggalos. The Juggalos have created a whole subculture around the music and way of life.
The second week of August is a special time for Juggalos. From all over the country, they get together at The Gathering of the Juggalos, the occasion for this often mocked and misunderstood subculture to come together and have a good time. These hardcore Insane Clown Posse fans meet once a year for four days and this documentary gives us a glimpse of what drives these people to become so passionate about this alternative way of life.
Amidst shouts of “whoop! whoop!” the Juggalos openly express what they like most about their lifestyle. To all of them it’s like a family. They feel accepted and comfortable with each other.
A lot of Juggalos have a “normal” lives. Some are managers, others are medical doctors. Yet they choose to come to The Gathering every year. Not for the carnival rides or the alcohol, drugs, or sex, but for the ties that bind them together. For the freedom to be whomever they want to be, sans the judgment. Nobody cares what you look like, the color of your skin, how much you weigh, or how you earn your living.
These people come together from many different cultures and are bonded together in what they call a lifestyle. Many have been rejected or discriminated against because they’re different. But within this community, everybody’s accepted just as they are.
Watch “American Juggalo” for a look into what appears to be a strange alternative lifestyle that may not be so outrageous after all.
Nuke the entire site from orbit – it’s the only way to be sure.
Looks like the nuke missed but they all have radiation sickness from the fallout.
And then they all turn 40 and realise they’ve actually wasted their lives and probably won’t live past 50.
This is actually scary. They genuinely appear to be suffering from radiation sickness.
I only watched as A friend posted, said she was in it with her boys.I don’t agree with alot of the video, but I can vouch for her,in her 40’s(PING) and is raising her last of 3 boys, who are very intelligent and she has the biggest heart, and works every day.I have actually never seen anyone that follows the genre to be like her,so that stereotype can be shot,or do they call that racism today, lol. But like a druggie once said to me,’they show a young brother love’,and thats the message that ALL of us need to remember concerning our friends, neighbors, and strangers. Theres a loss of love,in way too many places, and for too long. And if you can’t hear this, and don’t give me crap about they were probably problem children, maybe it is you that needs to look deep inside. When was the last time you saw a person going through trash, and offered them $2 instead of that 5 cents,or dropped off not your trash to the local donate bin but clothes and items you really thought someone could use? These people did not all bring $,but they all held each other up.And before you lump me in a group, lol,Im white as the snow covering my birth state 3/4 of the year, early 40’s,educated and also a Christian, who took offense to the comment about bigots.Yup,I did.But I see why.And nothing will change if it stays the same.
Has anybody else noticed they’re all white?
Sorry, dominantly white*
Kinda interesting to hear several minutes of peace love fun and acceptance, only to hear someone proudly reciting without an eyeblink how they want to punch their girlfriend in the mouth and shove broken broomsticks into her. I just don’t get this subculture, man.
Lot of proud parents out there.
OMG I can’t watch another second!
Oh fuck me.
