Square One
In 1993 the Los Angeles Police Department opened an investigation against Michael Jackson regarding allegations of sexual molestation of a minor by the name Jordan Chandler. Less than a year later, on January 25, 1994, Michael Jackson settled a civil lawsuit with the boy’s family for a total of $15 million. That settlement became the gateway for a number of similar suits that soon followed.
Investigative journalist Charles Thomson is the winner of six national awards for his work exposing the Shoebury Pedophile Ring. Thomson points out a few key differences between pedophile cases he has investigated and the Michael Jackson case. First of all, none of the other cases had any financial incentive that would lead to allegations. Also the other cases had victims who were credible and consistent; that has never been the case with the Michael Jackson cases.
Charles Thomson studied extensively the FBI files on Michael Jackson. Contrary to popular belief, there was no child pornography ever found at Neverland and both the judge and the prosecutor confirmed this fact. The files state that the FBI was investigating Michael Jackson for a prolonged period of time, although there is no evidence of sustained surveillance. None of the 20 departments that investigated the artist at one time or the other ever found any evidence of wrongdoing.
The top psychiatrists and psychologists were invited to participate in a study done by ABC in 2005 in which they all stated that Michael Jackson’s childish demeanor was rare among pedophiles. The artist surrounded himself with children in order to be a loving father to them due to the physical abuse and rejection he suffered from his own father.
The Michael Jackson story literally divided the world in two; everybody was forced to pick a side. Many chose to believe lies that were based mostly on opinions and personal prejudices, while many others chose to believe that Michael Jackson was indeed a beautiful soul who was incapable of harming anyone.
Fans who visited his ranch and even slept in his two-story bedroom confirm that Jackson easily trusted everyone, even those whom he should not have trusted.
In the end, there are those who firmly stand by their choice to see the man as they need to see him, and who don’t allow the truth to get in the way of what they believe. Watch this thought-provoking film now.
