Technology is advancing faster than ever before and it seems that we are at the dawn of a new age– the age of Artificial Intelligence.

A.I. has been defined as a branch of computer science that deals with the simulation of intelligent behavior in computers. Most people know very little about it although there is no shortage of information and opinions readily available online. Simply put, A.I. is about teaching a machine and the machine becoming smart. In order to accomplish this, one innovator believes that A.I. needs to become as life-like as possible and he’s working towards it.

A.I. is currently changing the way in which we think about life and death and our entire human experience including the way we communicate with each other and the way we view our disabilities or limitations.  The idea of enhancing our human abilities is not new, but we now have the technology to make strong people stronger and fast people faster. There’s a revolution going on in sports and machine learning is at the core of it. This will fundamentally change who we are as humans.

Some of the big questions are: are there certain human qualities that are untouchable by A.I.? Will machines ever be able to understand emotions? Can a robot be your soul mate? What about the foods we eat; can A.I. help agriculture, control the climate, and enhance crops?

We are living in times of unprecedented change and possibility. Each new technology creates a bigger lever for changing the world. The ideas are easy, but the execution of those ideas can be a little challenging. However, the goal is to be able to accomplish global tasks such as feeding the hungry, identifying areas where famine is likely to occur, predicting conflict zones, increasing life expectancy by improving diagnoses, preventing diseases long before they happen, and much more.

This series will demystify and clarify some common misconceptions and outline the correct use of terminologies such as machine learning, algorithms, computer vision, and big data. It also studies innovators who are pushing the boundaries in A.I. and analyzes how their work is having a huge impact on our lives. A.I. is supposed to make life easier for us, although this might mean that some traditional human jobs might be lost in the process. Watch this interesting limited series now.
